RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler is a synthetic injectable filler that has been FDA-approved to reduce moderate to severe wrinkles, folds and creases around the nose and mouth by augmenting the skin’s natural collagen supply.

It is a safe, effective, and long-lasting alternative to injectable collagen and other dermal fillers for not only smoothing wrinkles but also adding volume and contour to the face for an overall younger, fuller, smoother appearance. With just one or two RADIESSE treatments, you can enjoy a beautiful, natural look that lasts.

This premium offering is accessible at our locations in Westborough, MA, Salem, MA, and Naples, FL.

RADIESSE filler is composed of microspheres in a water-based gel. The microspheres – made of a substance called calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) – stimulate the production of collagen to smooth lines and wrinkles as well as add younger-looking suppleness to the face. RADIESSE is made from minerals similar to what makes up our bones. There is no need for pre-treatment allergy testing, and it is absorbed naturally by the body over time.

Am I A Candidate for RADIESSE?

Adults in good health and concerned about mild to moderate facial lines and wrinkles are great candidates for Radiesse injectable treatments. It can treat marionette lines, smile lines, pre-jowl folds, chin wrinkles, and lines on the edges of the lips. Radiesse is also safe to treat age-related volume loss in the hands to help them appear softer and younger-looking. You shouldn't receive this treatment if you are allergic to lidocaine or other ingredients in Radiesse. Be sure to tell Keamy Eye & Laser Centre about any allergies (whether mild or severe) and any medical disorders or conditions. If you are breastfeeding, pregnant, may be pregnant, or are considering pregnancy in the next 1 – 2 years, you shouldn't use Radiesse treatments.

RADIESSE filler can be used on many areas of the face and body. Numerous studies have shown RADIESSE filler to be especially effective for filling and correcting smile lines, nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth), marionette lines (from the corners of the mouth to the chin), and other lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. It can also be used to treat depressed scars and oral commissures.

RADIESSE filler has also been approved by the FDA to restore and correct the signs of lipoatrophy (loss of fat beneath the skin) in patients with HIV.

At your RADIESSE treatment, your doctor will clean the treatment area and administer a series of quick injections with a fine needle. Treatments typically take 15 minutes and require only local anesthetic. There is little to no downtime; many patients return to their normal activities after their appointment.

Patients typically need only one or two treatments to achieve the full effect of RADIESSE. Your doctor may recommend a follow-up appointment to determine whether you would benefit from additional treatments.

I made an appointment with Dr. Jean Keamy for a consultation to learn more about Botox and Radiesse. Dr. Keamy listened to my concerns about my facial appearance and offered her expertise and support in a most professional manner. Her demeanor during our appointments put me at ease. She had a soothing way about her that helped calm my nerves as a first time patient apprehensive about injectables. When it came time for the injections, her technique was so gentle, I hardly even felt the injections. I was sceptical about the impending results, but just as she assured me, I was estatic! I will definitely be returning for touch ups!

Side effects are minimal and should fade within a few days. These include:

  • Mild irritation
  • Itching
  • Swelling
  • Discoloration or tenderness at the injection site

Results are visible immediately after the injection and can last for up to a year or more. Touch-up treatments can prolong RADIESSE's effects. Studies have shown that patients require fewer re-treatments with RADIESSE than with other leading dermal fillers.

About Us
How much does Radiesse cost?

The cost of Radiesse is dependent the amount used to reach your goals. During your initial consultation at Keamy Cosmetic, your injector will discuss your needs and wants so they can develop your treatment plan. Then, they will offer your estimated costs.

How does Radiesse compare to other fillers?

Fillers each have different properties and formulas to fit various issues. Common filler materials are HA (hyaluronic acid), calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHa), poly-L-lactic acid, and PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate). Radiesse uses calcium-based microspheres, which are similar to hyaluronic acid dermal fillers the way it helps to prompt the natural production of collagen. During your consultation, we will review the different dermal filler brands and evaluate your skin's laxity, tone, and volume to recommend which one will address your concerns.

Are Radiesse injections painful?

Typically, patients do not need numbing cream before their treatments. However, a local anesthetic is available if you are worried about any discomfort. Many patients only feel minor and brief discomfort as the needle goes in.
