Much like BOTOX® and Dysport®, XEOMIN® injectable is composed of the same bacterium, Clostridium botulinum, to help target treatment areas.
XEOMIN more specifically targets intramuscular conditions such as blepharospasm or abnormal involuntary closing of the eye. Once Dr. Keamy injects XEOMIN into the affected muscle, this helps to reduce activity, ultimately reducing spasms in many patients.

How Does XEOMIN Work?
XEOMIN injections at Keamy Cosmetic usually last under 30 minutes from start to finish and can be performed in one of our procedure rooms at the conclusion of your consultation. The parts of the face receiving treatment will be sterilized before XEOMIN is gently injected with a specialized needle. The treatment is quick, and it generally does not cause great discomfort, so local anesthesia is not necessary but is available upon request. Pressure and cold compresses will be applied to the site of the injections to stop any minor bleeding before you leave.
