Recently approved by the FDA, Restylane-L® takes the popular hyaluronic acid dermal filler to the next level by adding lidocaine, a local anesthetic used to reduce the pain of the injection for a more comfortable experience. The Restylane Family
What is Restylane Lyft?
It adds lift to cheeks, smooths smile lines, and adds volume to the backs of hands. Perlane-L® is a more comfortable alternative to traditional Perlane injections, which can be administered to treat deep facial lines, augment the lips, and contour the cheeks and chin in patients unhappy with the effects of aging on their appearance. Made by the same company that produces Restylane-L®, Perlane-L contains purified hyaluronic acid and lidocaine, a local anesthetic that can effectively reduce discomfort during and after treatment while achieving the same level of improvement.
Like Restylane-L, Perlane-L produces long-lasting results, but contains larger gel particles, making it more effective for those deeper folds within the skin. There is no skin testing required by treatment, and since no additional anesthesia is needed, treatment times are shortened and patients can fit Perlane-L injections easily into their schedule.

What Can I Expect After Restylane?
Once your Restylane injections are finished, you may resume normal activities. Your recovery timeframe will depend on what is being treated, so ask your injector about what to expect. The treated sites will be slightly swollen and red, but this often fades away in a few hours. Bruising can occur, but this may be camouflaged with makeup. It's suggested that you avoid strenuous activities like exercise for 24 hours, and you should sleep with your propped up for the first night. Many patients will see visible changes right after treatment, but it may take 1 – 2 weeks until the final results appear. Restylane treatments generally last around one year, depending on the exact product used.
